1. What is the best way to view WorkSpace Resources?
The pages are optimized for viewing with the latest versions of either Netscape Communicator (preferred) or Internet Explorer on an SVGA monitor allowing a resolution of at least 800 x 600 with Small Fonts and 16 bit color enabled.

The above versions of Netscape and IE will both allow you to easily reset the font size to suit your preference within the browser.

2. Where do I get the fonts used on this site?
The fonts used on this site include: Times New Roman, Arial and Verdana. All of these fonts are available for download as freeware from various sites on the web. We have turned off underlining for aesthetic reasons and hyperlinks are usually in blue, but your browser may be set to ignore these commands. You can control this function with your browser preferences.

We restrict our font usage to those available from the Microsoft Typography Web Site. From this page you can download FREE fonts for use with Windows and Apple Macintosh computers.

You may also wish to download Windows 95 font smoother (also FREE from Microsoft). Make full use of the benefits of this technology which makes text easier to read and our site more pleasant to look at.

3. How did you set up the site?
After experimenting with a number of search engines and other navigation devices, we opted to organize this site entirely by hand. To accomplish our goal of being useful to both end-users and industry professionals, we set up a fairly strict (though perhaps imprecise) vocabulary. This vocabulary forms the basis of the Contract Furniture Product Directory because terminology used by manufacturers, design consultants and end-users varies to some degree.

We will gladly accept your comments and suggestions and respond to your technical questions about our site. Please contact the webmaster.

4. Why this way?
Unlike other similar sites that seek to categorize the Office and Contract Furniture Industry, we opted to take the point of view of the end-user. This seems the most logical to us and, we hope, better for business for the rest of the industry than any other focus.

5. Why not more bells and whistles?
We've tried pop-up windows, mouse-over buttons and hi-res graphics, but none gets you the information faster and easier than our present configuration. We are searching for the perfect search engine to provide some automation, but, so far, we haven't been able to find anything suitable - neither has Yahoo!, so I guess we're in good company.

6. What are the recent changes?
The entire site was redesigned, rewritten, reformatted during September and October, 1999.

The newest addition to WorkSpace Resources is WorkWare, the first shopping portal on the internet exclusively devoted to the working world.

7. Who are you and how can I contact you?
My name is Peter Stengel and I am Webmaster at WorkSpace Resources. I have been working in the Contract Furniture Industry for over three decades - as Furniture and Interior Designer, National Sales Manager and Director of Marketing, Instructor of Rendering and Furniture Design at American University and the University of Maryland, and Internet Marketing Consultant and Web Site Developer specializing in the Contract Furniture Industry.

You can send me email at webmaster@workspace-resources.com or use the email form. Other modes of communication - less efficient from my perspective - are listed in the section About Us.
